Thank you for checking out my Urban Explorer Photography Blog.I explore places that once were beautiful in their own shape, way,or form. Places where people gathered, worked, learned, places with years of history, gone in a flash. My work will show urban decay, abandonment,as well as other images which I have captured during my adventures and beyond. I capture the unseen history of these places.

DesPlaines River
DesPlaines River, a photo by doostydusty on Flickr.
The Des Plaines River is a river that flows southward for 133 miles (214 km)[1] through southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois[2] in the U.S. Midwest, eventually meeting the Kankakee River west of Channahon to form the Illinois River, a tributary of the Mississippi River. The river provided a transportation route and portage for native Americans, who revealed to early explorers how to traverse waterways of the Des Plaines watershed to travel from Lake Michigan to the Mississippi Valley. The river's name derives from the period of French exploration and colonization in the New World.
